Thermador oven codes and what to do

Thermador built-in wall ovens (Masterpiece and Professional single, double and combination) and Pro Grand ranges. Individual E-code meanings come from BSH service manuals for E-series and J-series Masterpiece and PO-series Professional wall ovens; for 2019+ W-series ovens (ME301WS, POD301W etc.) Thermador's owner guide only says any E code is an electronics fault, so these meanings are not confirmed for that generation.

An E followed by digits appears on the display and the oven beeps; on double ovens, codes starting E2 refer to the lower oven. Thermador says to press TIMERS (or any key) to stop the beeping, reset the oven if needed (breaker off about five minutes, then on), and book service if the code keeps coming back.

Safety first. Switch the appliance off at its power button and unplug it or turn off the breaker before you clean a filter or check a hose. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility from outside. If there is a burning smell, smoke, sparking or water near wiring, stop using it and keep it off until it has been checked.
