At a glance

Wolf range codes and what to do

Covers Wolf dual-fuel ranges (legacy 2002–2020 and the 2021+ DF generation) and Wolf induction ranges. Legacy dual-fuel ranges show words or ERR plus a number; 2021+ ranges show four-character codes; induction ranges show codes on the cooktop display.

Depending on the family, the display shows a word message (L Series and legacy dual-fuel, e.g. COOL FAN, PROBE SHORTED), ERR plus a number (legacy dual-fuel), number groups such as 07 x 23 (Legacy E Series), a four-character code such as 5121 or 4A10 (M Series and 2021+ ranges), or an E-code that some steam oven displays pair with an F-message. For most codes Wolf's first step is to switch the home circuit breaker off for about 30 seconds, restore power and retest; if the code returns, Wolf directs owners to Factory Certified Service.

Safety first. Switch the appliance off at its power button and unplug it or turn off the breaker before you clean a filter or check a hose. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility from outside. If there is a burning smell, smoke, sparking or water near wiring, stop using it and keep it off until it has been checked.

When to call a technician

If a code comes back after the safe checks, or the table says it needs a technician, the fault is usually a sensor, valve, pump, motor or control board, and diagnosing it means opening the range. Our technicians repair Wolf appliances across Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland, seven days a week until 10 PM. Tell us the code when you book and we bring the parts that code usually points to.

Book Wolf range repair $75 diagnostic, credited toward the repair.
