Electrolux Group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and sells in the United States under two brands, Electrolux and Frigidaire. The Electrolux name goes on the premium lines. US manufacturing includes a laundry plant in Kinston, North Carolina, refrigerators in Anderson, South Carolina, and cooking products in Springfield, Tennessee. Some Electrolux-branded products are imported from the group's plants elsewhere, so where a specific unit was built depends on the model and the year.
Electrolux front-load washers are a steady source of calls. A drain pump blocked by coins or socks, a door lock that will not release, bearings that rumble on spin and control boards that drop out of a cycle are the usual ones; several of these show up as E-codes on the display. Matching dryers mostly need a heating element, a thermistor or moisture sensor, or a belt and idler. Both are compact enough to work on in a closet, but stacked pairs take extra time to separate.
On the kitchen side, Electrolux French-door refrigerators come in for ice makers, defrost faults and main control boards, with counter-depth units leaving little room behind for airflow. Wall ovens and ranges tend to fail at the relay board, the door lock or hinge, the igniter on gas models or the temperature probe. Dishwashers usually need a drain pump, a wash motor or a leak repaired at the sump. Induction cooktops are a special case: the generator board is the common failure and it is an expensive part relative to the rest of the unit.
Electrolux parts come through Electrolux's North American parts organisation and the distributors that also carry Frigidaire. Many pumps, elements and sensors are shared with Frigidaire models and are easy to get; premium-only items such as induction boards, door assemblies and some control panels may need to be ordered in. The technician reads the full model number off the tag, checks the part against it and gives you the price before anything is ordered.
On Electrolux front-load washers the tag is inside the door opening; on dryers it is inside the door as well. Refrigerators keep it inside the fresh-food compartment, usually on a side wall near the top. Wall ovens and ranges have it on the frame behind the door, dishwashers on the top or side edge of the door, and cooktops on the underside of the unit, which may mean a label stuck to the cabinet instead. Send a photo and we read it from there.
We do not have a dedicated Electrolux error-code page yet, and codes differ between the washer, dryer, oven and dishwasher lines and between control generations. Our guide to Electrolux washer codes such as E11 and E21 covers the common laundry ones. For any other appliance, note the code exactly as it appears and when it appeared, then tell us when you book; the technician checks it against the service data for your model.
Electrolux and Frigidaire come from the same company and often from the same factory, and the two lines share platforms and parts. That means a Frigidaire-branded part may fit an Electrolux unit, and service information often covers both. It also means Electrolux models are not immune to the failures Frigidaire owners see; the difference is mostly in finish, features and controls.
A clear brand, model number and symptom history help the technician separate a part failure from installation, use pattern or maintenance conditions.

Electrolux Group of Stockholm, Sweden. In the US it also owns Frigidaire, and it runs plants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee for laundry, refrigeration and cooking.
Appliance Surgeon services out-of-warranty Electrolux washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ovens and ranges and cooktops in DC, Northern Virginia and the Maryland suburbs. We are independent and do not act for Electrolux's warranty program.
Appliance Surgeon charges $75 for the diagnostic visit on a Electrolux appliance, or $115 for a double unit (such as a double wall oven, washer-dryer combo or stacked laundry), and the fee is credited toward the repair if you approve the quote. For appliance repairs, labor starts at $200 and stays there on about 9 in 10 repairs; more complex jobs can reach $450. Parts are extra and listed in the quote. Typical price ranges by appliance are in our appliance repair cost guide.
Often, when there is room on the route. Our hours run seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 10 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 10 PM, and calling early gives the best odds.
Inside the door on washers and dryers, inside the fresh-food section on refrigerators, on the frame behind the door on ovens and ranges, and on the door edge of dishwashers. A photo of the tag with your booking saves a return trip for parts.
Send us the code and the appliance it came from. Our washer code guide covers the common laundry codes; for anything else the technician reads the code against the service data for your model and confirms the fault on site.
Warranty work on Electrolux products goes through Electrolux's own authorised servicers, and we are not one of them. We repair units that are out of warranty, and we can diagnose a unit that is still covered if you want an independent read before contacting the manufacturer.
Electrolux units are premium products, so a mid-life repair often makes sense. Age, the cost of the part and the state of the rest of the machine decide it, and the technician lays those out before you say yes to the work.
The technician quotes the part with a realistic arrival window and only orders once you approve. Electrolux-only parts may take longer than Frigidaire-shared ones, and if something is no longer made we tell you straight away.
Every Appliance Surgeon repair is covered by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor, starting the day the repair is finished. The technician explains the terms before the job is complete.
